But Enable email alarms for events is set to YES.

Addendum: Seems like there is already a bug report related to this issue open
since months: http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=1319
Does nobody care about that issue? oOo I'm still using Funambol 8.7 as
suggested by the documentation. Does anybody know whether newer Funambol
versions fix that issue? If yes, I'd be graceful for short descriptions how to
upgrade Funambol how to get my database right ;) . Regards, Mirko On 12/12/2011

[SOGo] Importing Private Events

2011-12-12 Thread Mirko Stoffers

Hi all,

we imported a bunch of private and public events from Outlook to SOGo via Funambol. The
issue with those events is: Everybody can view the subject of the private events.

When the owner of such a private event opens the event, the event is tagged private.
However, in the owner's calender the lock icon is not placed at this event.

When another user opens such a private event, he receives an error [1].

The issue can be resolved for a single event by opening and resaving it: The lock appears
and other users just see "(Private event)". However, this does not sound like the
appropriate solution for all the events ;)

To fix this issue for now, I would also run an SQL statement if necessary, but I want to be
sure that the error does not reoccur on the next Outlook synch. After all, it is also a kind
of security issue.

Regards,

Mirko

RE: [SOGo] I just came on board and I'm having some minor issues with my first SOGO install.

2011-12-12 Thread Paul Mecham
I'm using postgres and smtp and both appear to be started and running without
incident. Would just saving an email in the drafts folder call the MTA for
some reason? Hmmm, thank you for your help and consideration.

I will crank up the debugging and see what I can see.

Thanks again.

Yes you have the right property with SOGoMailSpoolPath. Sorry if a bit vague
earlier, but thought it would at least get you in the right direction. Have you
checked that your MTA is supported? Most are ..

You can increase the debugging in SOGo greatly by looking at
http://www.sogo.nu/english/nc/support/faq/article/how-to-enable-more-verbose-logging-in-sogo.html.
This may help esp the SOGoMailKeepDraftsAfterSend it mentions that you can set.

Also, in the web interface I get the error message:

In case this helps out. Here's the most recent log message as well.

The other lines make sense to me because I haven't yet created the message but
I still get the evil 500 error. I've read on other posts that maybe sogo is
doing some sort of mail validation on the save of the mail to the drafs folder
and that's causing the error, but I've tried all of the suggestions found with
this theory.

Thank you for your help an have an awesome day.,

Awesome, just to be clear about what we're talking about I'm setting the,
SOGoMailSpoolPath property, it that correct? If so, it does seem to change
where it puts the drafts but I still get the 500 error. I may just grab the
code and debug to see what's up but I was hoping there was a simpler fix. Just
for kicks I set it to /home/pmecham/sogomail and tried to save a new message.
The program did create a directory named newDraft1323711135-1 but it did not
contain any files.

Best to check the Installation manual, but I believe you really should set the

[SOGo] I just came on board and I'm having some minor issues with my first SOGO install.

2011-12-12 Thread Paul Mecham
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this type of question or not so
pleas forgive and direct me if it's not.

I've installed SOSO 2.0 because and everything seems to work except when I save
a draft of an email I get a HTTP 500 error back from the server. I can see the
draft email file in my spool directory so I don't believe it's a directory/file
rights thing and I've tried adding various folders using the cyradm utility but
still no luck. I'm sort of stuck on this right now and any guidance would be
appreciated.

This is the error message I'm getting in the sogo log:

RE: [SOGo] Unable to run samb-tool without errors -- SOGo v2.0 Beta 3

2011-12-12 Thread Doug Campbell

Okay. I found something that seems to work.

The instructions say to add the following to the /etc/ld.so.conf.d/samba4.conf
file:

/usr/local/samba/lib
/usr/local/samba/lib/ldb

HOWEVER, I found the following to work instead

/usr/local/samba/lib
/usr/local/samba/lib/samba

After making those changes and running ldconfig, I finally don't get import
errors when using samba-tool.

I did not even need to make the suggested changes to samba-tool. Thanks again
Stavros for your reponses although they weren't the solution for my particular
issue.

Thanks replying. I tried replacing the line:

sys.path.insert(0, "bin/python")

with

sys.path.insert(0, "/usr/local/samba/lib/python2.7/site-packages")

but the result is the same still.

I guess I will just have to keep trying. If anyone else has some ideas of even
what I could do to troubleshoot, it would be much appreciated.

Yes, sorry, I used sys.path.insert(0,whatever). I think this line is to be

I had the same problem and I solved it...

In samba-tool script there is a line in the code, which reads:

sys.path.insert("python").

Underneath that put this:

  sys.path.insert("/usr/local/samba/lib/python2.7/site-packages")

Likewise, in file openchange_newuser (for adding openchange user), there is:

sys.path.append("python")

so, you will have to add underneath it

sys.path.append("/usr/local/samba/lib/python2.7/site-packages").

Hope it works for you as it did for me.

[root@localhost samba4]# ldconfig -p | grep "libpyldb"
libpyldb-util.so.1 (libc6) => /usr/local/samba/lib/libpyldb-util.so.1
libpyldb-util.so.1 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libpyldb-util.so.1

libpyldb-util.so (libc6) => /usr/local/samba/lib/libpyldb-util.so

And:

[root@localhost samba4]# nm /usr/lib/libpyldb-util.so.1
nm: /usr/lib/libpyldb-util.so.1: no symbols

[root@localhost samba4]# nm /usr/local/samba/lib/libpyldb-util.so.1 | grep
"PYLDB_UTIL"

 A PYLDB_UTIL_1.1.2

Obviously, I am doing something wrong but what is wrong isn't obvious to me.
Would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

[SOGo] Editing default imap info

2011-12-12 Thread Dominique

Hi,

After a more than due time I updated my mail server to support ssl/tls.
The problem is that I cannot acces my mail in SOGo Webmail anymore. The
port value was initially set at 143. In prefs, the values are greyed
out, making changes impossible. I change the default value in the
GNUstepDefault file, but it does not update the values currently in use.
Where can I edit this value and change it from 143 to 993 ?

Thanks for the help,

Dominique

[SOGo] client access denied proxy

2011-12-12 Thread Martin Seener
When trying to create a calendar entry with an invite from iOS 5, the
invited user cannot accept/decline this invite, only see it.

when doing the same from iCal, it works perfectly.
My Log says this all the time:

client denied by server configuration:
proxy:http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/user.name/Calendar/personal

as well as some

client denied by server configuration:
proxy:http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/user.name/Contacts/public/ but
this should be ok because public contacts is the Global Adressbook (LDAP
Directory) which is readonly.

Iam using Apache2 with mod_evasive.
Any Suggestions?

Thanks, Martin

Yes, I have both:

Also, it does work as reverse proxy with web-sogo... I am still trying.

Thanks.

Do you have set these IMAP capabilities?
zimbraReverseProxyImapEnabledCapability: QRESYNC
zimbraReverseProxyImapEnabledCapability: UIDPLUS

Don't know if they exist in Zimbra 7 but they are there in 8.

[SOGo] SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication and funambol

2011-12-12 Thread Emmanuel Dreyfus
Hello

I use SOGo with a webSSO, which has the consequence that apache has
a REMOTE_USER, but no password. It feeds the REMOTE_USER to SOGo,
and thanks to the SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication, SOGo works fine.

Now I want to add Funambol. mobile clients authenticate to Funambol
within the syncML protocol, and Funambol passes the credentials to
SOGo through an Authorization header. Of course that plays badly with
SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication since SOGo will accept the login without
validating the password.

I had a look at the code, and if I understand correctly,
SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication causes SOGo to accept the login taken
from x-webobjects-remote-user or from Authorization header. Is it
correct that there is no way to trust x-webobjects-remote-user but
to validate the credentions from Authorization header?

If that is correct, then I am ready to submit a patch to fix that,
provided the change makes concensus.

[SOGo] Option "MailFieldNames"

2011-12-12 Thread Mathis Dirksen-Thedens

Hello,
I would like to know if it is somehow possible to use just one column
in "MailFieldNames" and put as many aliases in it as exist.

Why I would want that? I use postfixadmin to administer my users and
use a view on the postfixadmin's data as user table for SOGo. I managed
to add up all aliases into one comma-separated column of this view but
when I use this column in the "MailFieldNames" setting then I can choose
exactly two sender addresses - my primary one and a veeery long one,
consisting of *all* my aliases separated with commas...

Kind regards & thanks in advance

Re: [SOGo] Remote IMAP over OpenChange...

2011-12-12 Thread Stavros Souvatzis
If it might help, we have Zimbra OpenSource installed separately as main
Mail server. It is already been widely used as IMAP server and SOGo fetches
from it beautifully.

What is "valeur trop longue pour le type character varying(255)"?
 could it be fix?

Forgot to mention Bug #1339
"When a photo is attached to a contact on the iPhone"

Which is similar.

See Bug #27
"It seems that SOGO accepts adressbook entries that are too big for
postgres"

You can check this, by looking at the postgres logs.
This error should be logged there with additional infos.

We are very interested to this idea. We can't upgrade our samba version
to alpha 4, but Denis's solution could be a good start.

Is there any way to do that?
