[SOGo] State of Android task sync
Hello everyone, I am writing to report on my success with Android task sync, and also to inquire whether anyone has had success as well. Unfortunately, Funambol's Android client does not have task support. I found an independently released modified version with task support, but it performed poorly and did not seem to be under development. I have found success with the paid app Synthesis, which has exceeded my expectations. Under a trial license, the programmer has already sent me multiple test versions with feature improvements I requested to better interface with SOGo. It is the only solution I can find to sync tasks, let alone start and end dates with times, task status with completion percentage, task priority, location, category, and task description/note. Has anyone identified a free or open source alternative? Thank you, Sean -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] Re: User List / Addressbook Issue with SOGo 2.0.0 + Active Directory Backend
Hello, it turned out that once I joined the ldap bind user to the "Account Operator" and "Domain Admin" groups everything worked fine. While I am actually impressed by how well the end-to-end functionality of is I'd not like to proceed with a LDAP bind user with that many rights. What rights does the LDAP bind user actually need? Those log messages anyhow did not disappear. I appreciate your help and ideas! Kind regards, Johannes Tigges Am 02.10.2012 18:50, schrieb Johannes Tigges: Hello, we are modernizing our IT services. Hello Giovanni, Look here: http://wiki.sogo.nu/Syncml The remote names recommended in the sogo documentation are sogo-card / sogo-cal and sogo-todo. The Funambol clients usually use different names, like card, cal todo. For a simpler user expirience it is best to also setup the same/additional remote names on your funambol server. On 08.10.2012 14:06, Igor Vitorac wrote: defaults write sogod SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles '("PublicDAndTViewer","ConfidentialDAndTViewer","PrivateDAndTViewer")' This solved it! Excellent :) I didn't know you could set default policies, and it's impossible to log in as the resource itself, since windows refuses to authenticate against my rather minimalistic CalenderResource object. Thanks for the hint, that was exactly what I needed. So, I have now a fairly complete set of step-by-step instructions how to put CalendarResources into an Active Directory without going insane, including schema extension LDIF files and stuff. It took me about a week to figure it all out, and google couldn't find anybody who has done this before. So I have a feeling it might be knowledge worth sharing. But what's the best way? Should I simplay post them here for future reference, or is there a better way? Best regards, Sven -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] Creating Calendar Resources
Hello Sven, Most probably you have problem with ACL. Check on the following page: http://wiki.sogo.nu/ResourceConfiguration "Be sure that the resource has set at MINIMUM "View Time and Date" for "All Authenticated Users" is set in ACL." So, you can: 1. either login as that resource and configure ACL 2. either set the default ACL in SOGo config, example: defaults write sogod SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles '("PublicDAndTViewer","ConfidentialDAndTViewer","PrivateDAndTViewer")' Regards, Igor Sven Tegethoff wrote, On 08/10/2012 13:20: Hello everyone! Is this an LDAP related problem (like, insufficient access rights), or is it a DATABASE related problem? Thanks but it doesn't help for my pure RFC2307(bis) ldap groups configuration. Ie, the gidNumber in the entry of user represents the primary group for this user and all occurences of its login in the memberUid attribute, in a group entry, force its membership to this group. So I do the trick, without duplicating any informations, using dynlist and rwn overlays in OpenLdap.
