Same problem here as well.

I've just upgraded to the sogo-2.0_20121008-1.centos6.x86_64 package on
my test system. It seems to me that this build is severely broken : lots
of missing files, css, etc... leading to a non-functional installation.

[SOGo] State of Android task sync

2012-10-08 Thread Sean Deschamps
Hello everyone,

I am writing to report on my success with Android task sync, and also to
inquire whether anyone has had success as well.

Unfortunately, Funambol's Android client does not have task support. I
found an independently released modified version with task support, but it
performed poorly and did not seem to be under development.

I have found success with the paid app Synthesis, which has exceeded my
expectations. Under a trial license, the programmer has already sent me
multiple test versions with feature improvements I requested to better
interface with SOGo. It is the only solution I can find to sync tasks, let
alone start and end dates with times, task status with completion
percentage, task priority, location, category, and task description/note.

Has anyone identified a free or open source alternative?

Thank you,
Sean

Thanks, card-sync now works, calendar is not working because it is tryng to
sync with the wrong mysql table (the one containing my contacts).
Where could I setup it ?

Already done... In "Address Book" --> "Personal address book" I have the
contacts that comes from my Personal Computer by synchronisation with syncml
client funambol. I expected my horde contacts at this place but no data has
been added.

I have three tables in mysql related to gbreiner's contacts.

sogogbreiner00269f70e2c
sogogbreiner00269f70e2c_acl
sogogbreiner00269f70e2c_quick

If I did understood, horde contacts for gbreiner should be in theses tables
after having ran turba.py, should'nt be ?

[SOGo] Re: User List / Addressbook Issue with SOGo 2.0.0 + Active Directory Backend

2012-10-08 Thread Johannes Tigges

Hello,

it turned out that once I joined the ldap bind user to the "Account
Operator" and "Domain Admin" groups everything worked fine.

While I am actually impressed by how well the end-to-end functionality
of is I'd not like to proceed with a LDAP bind user with that many
rights. What rights does the LDAP bind user actually need?

Those log messages anyhow did not disappear.

I appreciate your help and ideas!

Re: [SOGo] Sync Nokia with Sogo

Hello Giovanni,

Look here:

http://wiki.sogo.nu/Syncml

The remote names recommended in the sogo documentation are sogo-card /
sogo-cal and sogo-todo. The Funambol clients usually use different
names, like card, cal todo. For a simpler user expirience it is best to
also setup the same/additional remote names on your funambol server.

I've just upgraded to the sogo-2.0_20121008-1.centos6.x86_64 package on
my test system. It seems to me that this build is severely broken : lots
of missing files, css, etc... leading to a non-functional installation.
Even the login page is not displayed correctly, and in the HTML source
of it the css reference are missing.

I don't think that changing the paths would correct anything in that
case. Or maybe a missing dependency is hiding somewhere in the packages ?

Didier.

This solved it! Excellent :) I didn't know you could set default
policies, and it's impossible to log in as the resource itself, since
windows refuses to authenticate against my rather minimalistic
CalenderResource object. Thanks for the hint, that was exactly what I
needed.

So, I have now a fairly complete set of step-by-step instructions how to
put CalendarResources into an Active Directory without going insane,
including schema extension LDIF files and stuff. It took me about a week
to figure it all out, and google couldn't find anybody who has done this
before. So I have a feeling it might be knowledge worth sharing.

But what's the best way? Should I simplay post them here for future
reference, or is there a better way?

Best regards,

Re: [SOGo] Creating Calendar Resources

2012-10-08 Thread Igor Vitorac

Hello Sven,

Most probably you have problem with ACL.
Check on the following page: http://wiki.sogo.nu/ResourceConfiguration
"Be sure that the resource has set at MINIMUM "View Time and Date" for
"All Authenticated Users" is set in ACL."

So, you can:
1. either login as that resource and configure ACL
2. either set the default ACL in SOGo config, example:

defaults write sogod SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles
'("PublicDAndTViewer","ConfidentialDAndTViewer","PrivateDAndTViewer")'

Igor

So far so good. Using the web interface, I created an event, and
invited the meeting room as attendee. The web interface finds the

adressbook, too). But when I try to save the appointment, I get an
error message on the GUI that says:

Cannot access resource: "Big Meetingroom $o21000-5E3ENOFJ7Jb)@test.com"

The sogo.log shows nothing more specific. So is there anybody out
there who can enlighten me, what this error message actually
technically means? Is this an LDAP related problem (like, insufficient
access rights), or is it a DATABASE related problem?

On a related note ... does anybody know when sogo is supposed to
create the meetingroom's calendar in the database? Usually I think,
personal calendars are created upon first login. But then, nobody ever
logs in as a resource (and I tried, I can't ... even if I upgrade the
resource user to a full windows user and assign a password :). So
what's the official way to create a calendar for a resource?

Best regards,

Sven

Thanks but it doesn't help for my pure RFC2307(bis) ldap groups configuration.
Ie, the gidNumber in the entry of user represents the primary group
for this user and all occurences of its login in the memberUid
attribute, in a group entry, force its membership to this group.

So I do the trick, without duplicating any informations, using
dynlist and rwn overlays in OpenLdap.
I send my config for curious people.

But when I try to save the appointment, I get an error message on the
GUI that says:

Cannot access resource: "Big Meetingroom $o21000-5E3ENOFJ7Jb)@test.com"

The sogo.log shows nothing more specific. So is there anybody out there
who can enlighten me, what this error message actually technically
means? Is this an LDAP related problem (like, insufficient access
rights), or is it a DATABASE related problem?

On a related note ... does anybody know when sogo is supposed to create
the meetingroom's calendar in the database? Usually I think, personal
calendars are created upon first login. But then, nobody ever logs in as
a resource (and I tried, I can't ... even if I upgrade the resource user
to a full windows user and assign a password :). So what's the official
way to create a calendar for a resource?

Best regards,

Sven

Did you log in to SOGo as user gbreiner before importing old data?
The "personal" calendar and address book are created on first log in, so
I don't think importing will work before that.

Try looking under "Address Book" --> "Personal address book" when
logging in as user gbreiner into the SOGo webinterface.
