I second that. We do heavily use the possibility to preconfigure settings for SOGo Connector for our users. A generic connector that requires user configuration is prone to errors and thus a lot of support overhead. Except for the last two major Thunderbird releases where connector wasn't ready for quite some time, the plugin upgrade always went smooth and saved us a lot of trouble the way it is. best regards, Adi -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Subsequent updates were then done with a generic connector, but that didn't change a thing; the connector still worked fine. best regards, Adi -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

The SOGo Connector is not meant to be installed by the average Joe user, it's meant to be prepared by the SOGo administrator and pushed to all Thunderbird instances using the SOGo Update Server or any other software deployment solution used for automation. You certainly don't want your users starting to toy around that value from the Thunderbird's GUI - it'll mess everything. -- Ludovic Marcotte lmarco...@inverse.ca :: +1.514.755.3630 :: https://inverse.ca Inverse inc. :: Leaders behind SOGo (https://sogo.nu), PacketFence (https://packetfence.org) and Fingerbank (https://fingerbank.org) -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] Thunderbird Addon
Hi, what's the reason to use an addon with static preferences which need to be compiled and not a thunderbird configuration variable? This would make updates really more easier! Re: [SOGo] Mails page not accessible
Hey, it seems to me, that you have no imap server configured (or I am missing something). But If you have no IMAP (or POP) Server configured, where should SOGo take the existing mails from. Additionally maybe you could provide logs, from the time when you are calling the mail page. They should be clarifying, and when not to you, maybe to one reading this list.
