Hi,

assumed bug solved - after apt-get update/upgrade a second time
and a apt-get dist-upgrade (why that?) now it shows the correct version.
At Ubuntu I had to do a second update/upgrade, too.

I don't know why, the first times both Servers showed all SOGo-Packages,
installed them (feigned ;-)) and no error.

First Test: Mail is really a new performance experience!

Bye,

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.4 and CAS problem

2010-11-18 Thread Damien MASCRE
Hello,

We updated our sogo installation today from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4,
as well as sope with 4.9-20101117_1664 packages, on a centos 5.4.

Sogo was configured to use our cas server, but since the
upgrade, sogo is unable to forge a correct url, it redirects
to the cas server using that request :

https:///cas/%28nil%29:NO/SOGo/so/?ticket=ST-3369-wrPatNYsV3hYntbqHEpU

%28 and %29 are parenthesis.
Obviously, the cas server is not happy with that.

There is nothing relevant in the logs, and the configuration in apache
is the same as for the 1.3.3.

I checked in the documentation and changelog to see if some
cas-related parameters were changed, in vain.

I'm having troubles updating from the nightlies (via yum) to the 1.3.4,
should I just grab the rpm's and try updating that way?

rpm -qa |grep sogo
sogo-tool-1.3_20101026-1.el5
sogo-devel-1.3_20101026-1.el5
sogo-1.3_20101026-1.el5

(disable the nightly repo and enabled the normal sogo repo)
SOGo.repo
[sogo-rhel5]
name=Inverse SOGo Repository
baseurl=http://inverse.ca/downloads/SOGo/RHEL5/$basearch
gpgcheck=0
enabled=1

When I yum update, the gnustep and sope49 packages are available, but no
sogo packages.

Cheers,

Ryan

rpm seems to consider version 1.3_20100921-1 to be greater than version 1.3.4-1.

I would suggest to remove the packages before upgrading.

rpm -e --nodeps sope49-gdl1-contentstore sope49-cards

As Francis suggested, you should update sope49-cards too...

That did it. Thanks guys. Saved me there. Now to check out the new features!

Well I knew that went too smooth. When doing the remove/reinstall we
lost the contacts that users added manually and they cannot import an
ldif file. Where should have the contacts been kept? I thought all
contacts and calendar entries were kept in MySQL?

The are kept in the database. You MUST run the SQL as described in the
announcement email.

There will be NO information loss when updating to v1.3.4.

Regards,

Ludovic,

 Thanks. I mentioned the patch in an earlier email but never got a
reply that it HAD to be ran. That and I missed that part in the
announcement email. Thanks again. I was not saying any data was going to
be lost, just merely thought with me having to remove the packages it
may have moved something.

Just ran the patch and will see what the users say. Thanks again.
