If you want to have support from Alinto if you have problems or if you
want to use their stable apt/dnf repo, you have to pay them.
It is free software, you can use it without paying for any purpose.

The person who creates an event can do this with it's own calendar.
People who accepts an invitation will get it in it's own calendar, so
the postmaster calendar is not really needed.

If you like something as an postmaster-calendar I see that as something
extra, you could make one person responsible to keep that calendar
up-to-date. That's less error prone.

Hope this helps!

Why don't you simply share each user calendar and create private, public
events with invitations?
If configured with LDAP you can also use groups for invitations.

An alternative is to have the "postmaster" email address forward to
every users for notifications,
and only make the postmaster calendar shared.

Then when you want a user to create a "global" event it should create an
event in its calendar and invite the postmaster user.

Hope this helps.

[SOGo] Support

2017-10-06 Thread Julia Schneider

Hello,

we're using SoGo since May 2017, we have a problem and we hope you can fix.

The problem is, we need shared calenders. We have created a user
(postmaster) where we can add coordinate meetings, vacations, travel,
etc. The problem is, every scheduled event belongs first to postmaster
and this account gets the mails about invitations, response, etc., not
the person who created it.

So we started to create the event first in our personal calendar, and
when we finish creating and inviting people we have to move the event to
the shared calendar. This is very inconvenient and error prone.

What can we do, that the person who creates an event is automatically
the owner?

Thanks for your support.

[SOGo] Support for custom telephone types x-name

2014-11-13 Thread Frank Myhr

I'm excited that the SOGo development roadmap

http://www.sogo.nu/english/development/roadmap.html

includes adding support for unlimited phone numbers and email addresses. I wonder if this could also include adding support for custom-named
TEL types "x-name" as described in RFC 6360?:

http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6350#section-6.4.1

The Android app "DW Contacts" that we use allows setting these custom TEL types, but they become invisible when synced to SOGo. (They're
still in the vCard, but don't get displayed in the SOGo web interface.)

It may not be a proper use of vCard, but sometimes it's handy to use a custom TEL type to differentiate among a party's multiple offices or
residences.

[SOGo] Support for webdav lock discovery?

2012-07-19 Thread juan port

I'm trying to query sogo to using webdav and lockdiscovery at the address
http://192.168.1.26/SOGo/dav/sogo1/Contacts/personal/   (where a lock exists on
the collection).

"

The response does not show any lock:

     /SOGo/dav/sogo1/Contacts/personal/

        HTTP/1.1 200 OK

        HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

          HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Does Sogo support lock discovery in this manner?  Perhaps someone sees an error?

This list seems more related to end-user problems then for people developing

I saw that bug #698 is on the roadmap for 1.3.5, nice.

Another idea for that:

It would be a FINE idea to include a suffix in this cookie with a unique name
for that node where sogod runs on. The suffix has to be separated by a dot (and
no other dot must appear in the cookie):

Example:

Set-Cookie: 0xHIGHFLYxSOGo=r5hfjkrblvhjlvrjehjkgfhrkj4kl3hjgb4glbv.node01;
Path=/SOGo/

In that case, you may write in the front end Apache (example from my setup)

   BalancerMember http://10.0.0.2:2/SOGo route=edea
   BalancerMember http://10.0.0.3:2/SOGo route=bafoussam
   BalancerMember http://10.0.0.4:2/SOGo route=kousseri
   BalancerMember http://10.0.0.5:2/SOGo route=limbe

   RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-port" "443"
   RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-name" "sogo.uni-konstanz.de"
   RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-url" "https://sogo.uni-konstanz.de";

   RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-server-protocol" "HTTP/1.0"
   RequestHeader set "x-webobjects-remote-host" "%{SENDER_IP_ADDRESS}e"

   AddDefaultCharset UTF-8

   ProxySet stickysession=0xHIGHFLYxSOGo(1)

   Order allow,deny
   Allow from all

The "route" parameter on "BalancerMember" names this particular worker route and the
cookie's name mentioned with "stickysession=" is used to derive the route where the request has to
be sent.

AN idea would be to use one of these nifty dictionary variables of "defaults"
(GNUstepdefaults), something like "defaults write sogod SOGoClusterNodeName bafoussam"
(as an example).

The user would be on the same machine after login eliminating all kind of
synchronization issues and you still have a load balanced session. If one node
breaks the apache uses another route or breaks the session, it is up to you to
configure it.

(1) In my actual setup I am doing this voodoo magic in my updated sogosession (not yet public)
apache module with an additional cookie ("uniknsogoroute") with the value
"worker.${nodename} which is set from inside the module to select the right worker. It
works nicely here with 4 cluster nodes. So in my config there is in reality

ProxySet stickysession=uniknsogoroute
