Session sharing accros subdomains?

I've a main website hosting domain domain.com. There are links on this page that point to response servers, which is a subdomain rs.domain.com. The problem is that when a user signs in on the domain.com and clicks on any link his session is not available on rs.domain.com. I see that this

I'm not sure if you asked the question at the right place. Anyways, I think there would be some configuration file / code snippet which uses the www.old-domain.com:3306 while forming the connection URL, which is passed to the getConnection(url, username, pass) method. Hope it helps, Madhur.
