I use on my application a web listener ( ServletContextListener ) that
allows you to compile jsp at startup .
It does not work on Tomcat 8 because the NullPointerException thrown in :
servletContext.getRequestDispatcher ( path);

Unfortunately, I cannot do this, because Tomcat 5.5.23-0jpp.2.fc6 is part of
Plesk 8.1.1.

If you've got an XML schema defined, use Castor (xsl to Java and
viceversa). It perfoms all validations for you and reading/writing to
input/output streams.

I update my jsvc lauch script with -Xms and -Xmx options, but I have the same
situation: once the memory has been taken is never released, free memory is
constantly lowering at a lower rate than before, buf lowering.
