Hello there,
I'm trying to do this setup:
1. OS debian 5.03 (AMD_64)
2. Tomcat 5.5.28 (downloaded from the official site)
3. Sun Java jdk-6u16-linux-x64
I followed this instruction (http://tomcat.apache.org/native-doc/),
installed all the required packages for the
on 8080 to see myapp instead of the tomcat
default page
but I wonder if there is an option to do this on apache level probably
playing with mod_jk

document root /tomcat/webapps/myapp
Unless you are very careful (and you haven't been - /WEB-INF/
/META-INF/ are wide open
Mark,
what do you mean by
separation of httpd and Tomcat
Do you mean that httpd should redirect all requests to tomcat and not
serve static files?
Or that httpd should have alias /myapp
and still serve static files for it.
Or something different?

Hello guys,
at the moment http://tomcat.apache.org/ is unavailable (you can see the
page coming).
Can someone involved directly state if this anyway compromised the
builds provided for download in some timeframe in the past.
