You can access your new wiki on http://rosmi.myxwiki.org.

Regarding "become familiar with all available functionalities offered
by XWiki" note that you don't have "programming right" on myxwiki.org
so you don't really have access to all possible feature like advanced
scripting (but you can still do velocity scripting).

Enjoy !

[xwiki-users] 'refine your search' panel is mangled

2014-01-29 Thread Haydn Mearns

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded to 5.3 and have been very impressed...

one issue remains though, when I search the 'refine your search' panel
is not displaying on the right hand side, instead it is displaying with
all the options down the page before I get to search results... I have
tried reinstalling and just upgrading the solr search application
extension and it is still displaying incorrectly, any clues?

thanks in advance

[xwiki-users] How do I add FAQ to existing Space?

2014-01-29 Thread Bill Vlahos
I added the FAQ extension which adds a new space and a working FAQ in that
space.

I don't want new FAQ and FAQCode Spaces but I do want to add a FAQ to one of
the spaces. Here is what the FAQ instructions say.
By default this application creates a FAQ space in FAQ.WebHome. However you can
easily transform any other space into a FAQ space by editing that space's
WebHome page and adding an Object of type FAQCode.FAQHomeClass.

1. I added the object to the desired space page but I don't see it in the
space. It would be fine if the FAQ is either on the space page or a FAQ page in
the space. How do I make it visible in the new space and working?

2. How do I remove or hide the FAQ and FAQCode spaces from the list of
viewable spaces?

Thank you,
Bill Vlahos

Re: [xwiki-users] WSIWYG not complete

2014-01-29 Thread Bill Vlahos
We did a complete reinstall and this time everything installed correctly and is
complete.

I do have another question regarding Marius' terrific looking Diagram
extension. As you point out in the notes there is an issue with displaying a
diagram after the editing is done. Parts of the diagram are missing. You talk
about switching from mxUtils.getXml() to mxUtils.getPrettyXml() to fix the
problem because the mxGraphModel root XML element isn't included.

1. How and where do I replace these? Are they on the xwiki server?
2. Once I replace them will a future update of Xwiki break it? If this is such
a good thing why doesn't the recent version of Xwiki incorporate it? It has
been over 6 months since you made the comment.

Thank you,
Bill Vlahos

That is in your user profile not in the wiki administration. I was talking
about
http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Administration+Application
(bundled by default). Do you have administration rights on your wiki?
On the "Home" top level menu you should have an entry "Administer Wiki".

Re: [xwiki-users] Howto access property values of a document's class

2014-01-29 Thread Matthias Albert
hi Marius,
thanks for your answer.

My problem seems to be different: I would like to show property values
of objects not contained in the current document.

At last, I tried this
{{groovy}}
hql = "select obj from BaseObject obj where obj.className='MySpace.MyClass'"
results = xwiki.search(hql, 0, 0)
xclass = results[0].getxWikiClass(xcontext.context)

println "|=Title |= Value
results.each { item ->
  println "|[[$item.name>>$item.name]] |${item.get('MyProperty')} |
}
{{/groovy}}

(I hope, I didn't copy it wrong)

This should print a table iterating over all objects of MyClass, with
the first column showing the object title, which works fine. The second
column should show some property value. But no combination of method
invocations of BaseCollection, BaseObject, PropertyInterface etc. worked.

Thanks
Matthias

[xwiki-users] RES: need help to use workflow extension

2014-01-29 Thread Danilo Amaral de Oliveira
Hello Pascal,

Actually I am using in my XWiki 5.3.
Really the extension usability is not the best but it works! I even customized
it to company! In my workflow the published document go to a specific space and
get the draft page name...

Did you create the workflow?
Did you set the draft space?

How do you tried to use it?

Hello,

I try to use the workflow extension

I installed the extension 1.02 version with the extension manager but I obtaint

workflow.script.failed"

The documentation is too light and probably something miss me.

If you tried this extension can you tell me if it is work on xwiki 5.3?

If yes, have you some documentation (or help) to use it?
