Re: [xwiki-users] [myxwiki] new wiki request

2014-09-10 Thread Hush ed
Hi all,

Thanks for the feedback. I tried contacting xwiki cloud services because,
while their offer page says they allow for free use up to 5 users, I could
find no links that actually allowed for the creation of such a wiki except
under a paid plan. They have not contacted me back.

Etherpad may work, but the site specifies that it is intended for Mozilla
related work.

I could indeed download and try to install xwiki (though I'm on a mac), but
I was hoping my roommates could access it from their phones.

Am I in the wrong place? The wording of the mywiki page suggested that it
was free for individual and non-profit use. Perhaps I misunderstood.

Yes, that’s the extension. I’m trying to figure out how to get the right
credentials setup with Google. The links in the extension (and documentation)
go to oAuth 1.0, which is no longer able to be used. I was hoping someone had
some experience setting this up and could help me with it.

Re: [xwiki-users] Solr and blank characters

2014-09-10 Thread Pascal BASTIEN

It seem than there are some problems when your wiki is in multilingual mode
(in global preference/localisation).
For your problem, you can check the langage of Test2,3,4. It must be a
different langage of Test1,7,8

Your workaround is smart (I didn't think about
 it).
Anyway I resolve my problem.

Autosuggest seem interessant, I will certainly try it later.

Hi Pascal.

I've got the same problem with FAQ application. The search
returns inexplicably only some results(or nothing at all).
E.g. If I try to search for "test", it finds the following articles:
Test 1
Test 7
Test 8
...
Some pages simply don't appear(test 2,3,4,5,...). I cant figure out why.

Workarround(maybe it can be usefull to you):
- Edit the page where is the html form and set to:

- Insert a hidden field with the value as your FAQ Space name(in my case
its the default ["FAQ"]):

- Done. It will use the default search from XWiki, but will return only
itens from FAQ Space.

Another interesting I've added is the Auto suggest feature, which is
something great for FAQ applications.
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/DevGuide/AutoSuggestWidget

See if it helps you.
Regards.

Re: [xwiki-users] XWiki + MS SQL Server Reporting Services

2014-09-10 Thread Vladimir
 Hi, Danilo!

MS SQL Server Reporting Services - it is a web-based BI-system. You can find
more information on Microsoft sites:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159106.aspx

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/ff660783.aspx

At this moment we are using SSRS 2008 R2 version, but we could upgrade.

Almost all our reports have parameters. It would be great, if the xwiki user
also could select report parameters, press a button "View Report" and receive
the result report. If it is impossible to make this, it would be interesting
for us to show some static result report with predefined parameters.

Vladimir.
