I know this is a web application where we only need the browser for client
side. My question is for server side. Do we need to install JRE, Servlet
Container, JDBC Driver to make the xwiki run and be able to access in

HI, I want to use xwiki for client-server access. 
The thing is when I install the xwiki in server, and try to access/open in
client(my laptop) it can't be open. Does it require me to install the java?
Before forgot, my server is using windows xp.

[xwiki-users] Problem with editing page

Hi guys, I am so confused in this editing matters.

I am editing the font in LESS-Code, but when I save it is not appear in the
main xwiki page. 
Some of user ask me to clear the cache browser and I had done it but when i
change /edit the code back, seems no changes and I had to clear the cache
again.

My question is, how many times I need to do so (oftenly clear the cache) and
run the xwiki.

Is there any solution for this? Please advise

Hi guys, I am facing a problem in xwiki editing font. I dont know why.

Once i change the font/color/link color in a theme. once preview it saved.
But when I open on main page, main title and want to view it again seems it
have a problem. All the changes i made in editing theme, success but when
viewed it again in main page, not success. It appear the old one not the
changes one.

Maybe problem with xwiki?? WHy this happen..please help me

[xwiki-users] Editing font using LESS Code

Hi, I have changed the font using LESS-CODE. I want to know maybe this
LESS-Code is under renovation or what because, I have change the font (small
the font for heading 2), Under this preview, when i select the doc, the font
is changed. But in main xwiki, i mean main page. no changes for this font
for heading 2.


I have try and error so many times, cut and paste again the code but still
the same(the font is not changed). You can see the picture below:

here, the font for heading 2 which is 1.1 System Developing is changed.

As you noticed , below is the pic once i make the changes into the code.
But the thing is when i refresh it, it is not appear but in edit mode the
font for heading 2 is change meaning it success right. But why, when i
refresh it, it is not appear (the font is not change). I already save it and
it is confuse me..

I found this code for editing panel and need help how to change the code to
give a space for each title in the panel.

 

As you can see from the my recent modification panel, i want to give a space
between upper title and below one.
If you see from the panel, it looks like no differences between upper and
below side. It looks like one overall title.
 How to edit, give the space between the title?

comes in html format where once we click it will direct to the files we
need.

I am using 8.3 version. I try to import a page and it works. Before u import
it have the split document option and I do tick it there and when i view the
result it success.

The things is i want to know how to export/download the overall page.
Because when i try to export, it only download the certain title not
overall.

I have a few question:

I had import a document in xwiki 8.3. When I view the result, I encounter a
problem below:

- The page is not properly indent. (I need to do it manually, delete and put
line the words, image). How to do make it automatically? 
- The picture is blur (How to make when user mouse over to the picture, user
can enlarge / zoom it ?
- The numbered list is scattered. How to fix it automatically instead of
manually?

Ohh, i have something to ask.

I want to develop knowledge base centre for my company. I want all staff can
access but think there is a lot of step to do for initial setup right? it is
include, download the xwiki, and run the command prompt. SO, is there any
easier way for staff to run the xwiki? I mean can staff just open the
browser and type xwiki/home directly?

Thanks Dung. I had try and play around and its work, SUCCESS!!...

Superadmin has an access to many things. But, I could recommend XWiki team
enhance this setting so that user can directly click forgot password link
instead of asking for admin to do this on behalf.

I had uninstall and re-install back the xwiki 8.4 version  but still can't.

You are mention to move away the jobs/status/distribution subdirectory. 
How to configured the directory and what is the things that i need to
configured? Is it uncomment?

Hi, Mohamed. I am too confusing to store, backup files in older version.
The sequence of my problem is like this.
- I am installing xwiki 8.3 version and has import a lot of document, forum
and many more. I want to save my file(backup) so that it easier for me to
migrate it in new version. I had read some notes and it tells me to copy
several file in WEB-INF.
- I try to copy those files in old version and paste it in new version in
the same location WEB-INF but unfortunately, it did not work and after i
open the new version nothings happen. 
*-Can i reconfirm with u with several things:*
* Where is the location of all files, folder that we importing the document
in xwiki? Is it here
C:\Program Files\XWiki Enterprise 8.3\webapps\xwiki\WEB-INF

If i can't copy over the configuration files exactly, so how do i copy the
configuration files?.
I am trying to copy the files in older version and paste it in newer version
seems it is not copying and nothings change in newer version, that's
confusing me.

I have import a lot of document in older version and now want to back up and
insert all doc to newer version. How do i make it works? Why, after i copy
the web-INF files and paste it in new version, nothings change..

Please advice.
