the wastebin and things like that? Can you give us the link to the
instructions on reducing the size of the portable version? 253 Mb sounds
pretty good to me.

I know that with mine, the Text Only box is checked and grayed out
so it will not take formatted text. And yes I used Ctrl-c to capture
the formatting.
