HUGE kudos to those most responsible for the high quality of this update!
Have been using this new "fresh" version for about a week. It's markedly
faster opening, closing, and saving my large calc spreadsheet - essentially
my sole use of LO, and used almost every hour of the day when I'm awake.

with automatic calculations
Why don't you write a ticket on Bugzilla? There are always ways to suppress
tooltips completely.

This appears not to be a Linux specific issue. I can't speak for macOS
users, but it is definitely a problem with LO 6.0.1.1 on all of my WIN 7
and Linux boxes, where I have zero scanning issues using LO 5.4 or other
office software.
Has anyone entered a bug report yet?

I know about suppressing tool tips completely (found it in google), but
I'd want to avoid that because I usually find them
