First save one of the email files to your machine. Then right-click on that file and choose Properties - Open With Set it to LibreOffice or Impress. Note that the right-click menu probably also has an OpenWith option but this is a one off whereas the one in Properties sets all files of this type to be opened with the program you choose. You can test this by going back to the email and ask it to just open the file rather than downloading it this time. This sequence does not work for Windows Explorer. Also, I realize that this would involve some effort, but could you please at least consider deleting the excess bits of what you reply to, like the footer that gets propagated to *all* list posts, extra blank lines, etc? Thanks. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to users+h...@libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/users/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***

Linux is a great solution to this problem :-) Reinstalling/Repair Installing OOo wouldn't fix the problem... AFAICT, it only works with the first installation of anything that handles a particular file type. All other changes appear to require manual intervention. Still, that really isn't OOo's fault, or LibO either - it's the file manager's. I opened a bug about this with OOo asking/begging for a proper File Associations Manager, that would also include the ability to fix busted permissions on registry entries, but was told to go away... maybe I'll try again with LibO... I don't know the technical details involved, but I suspect that, without a universal API for file managers to do this sort of thing, it won't happen for LO, either. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to users+h...@libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/users/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***
