Re: [SOGo] Accept Invitation in Thunderbird gives "I will decide later"
Dear Christian, I also managed to recover another calendar response from an external invite that the other person thankfully send back to me. It shows "NEEDS-ACTION" but also "ACCEPTED": BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//Mozilla.org/NONSGML Mozilla Calendar V1.1//EN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VTIMEZONE TZID:Europe/Paris BEGIN:DAYLIGHT TZOFFSETFROM:+0100 TZOFFSETTO:+0200 TZNAME:CEST DTSTART:19700329T02 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=3;BYDAY=-1SU END:DAYLIGHT BEGIN:STANDARD TZOFFSETFROM:+0200 TZOFFSETTO:+0100 TZNAME:CET DTSTART:19701025T03 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=10;BYDAY=-1SU END:STANDARD END:VTIMEZONE BEGIN:VEVENT LAST-MODIFIED:20210520T203620Z DTSTAMP:20210520T203620Z UID:04008200E00074C5B7101A82E008F0B4957FA14DD701000 010003E8FDE2C42974C4F8BEC69F7B28E798A SUMMARY: project PRIORITY:5 STATUS:CONFIRMED ORGANIZER;SCHEDULE-AGENT=CLIENT;CN=Lxx Lxx (xx):mailto:Lxx.Lxx@ xx.xx *ATTENDEE;PARTSTAT=NEEDS-ACTION;CN=Andreas Wiener;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;RSVP=** ** TRUE:mailto:a...@corti.de** **ATTENDEE;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=ACCEPTED:mailto:a...@corti.de** *DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Paris:20210521T11 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Paris:20210521T113000 DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en-US:\n__ __\nMicrosoft Teams meeting... I am using SOGo 5.1.1 but the issue was experienced across prior versions. I am also not sure if this is a SOGo issue or a Thunderbird issue. I have seen the behaviour you describe occasionally and could not reliably reproduce it. Do you have the nightly builds installed or the release? I use the nightly build but the issue has been persistent across several versions updates. Invitations send to me by mail are showing up in Thunderbird and I can select "Accept" to add them to my calendar which works perfectly. However all invitations are accepted as "I will decide later" instead of "I will attend". I have tried to understand if the acceptance mail is send by thunderbird or SOGo and if the Error is in the Thunderbird setup or SOGo setup however so far I am was unable to understand what happens when I select "Accept" in Thunderbird. My understanding is that the "acceptance" mails are by default send by SOGo, however I do not understand the way Thunderbird communicates to SOGo that such a mail needs to be send. I found that there is an option in the Thunderbird Lignthing/Calendar Module that influences if the mail is send directly by Thunderbird or by SOGo (Client) and I tried both options but with the same result described above. Can anymore point me to possible settings I might have screwed up to cause this behavior, maybe some kind of default to always accept invitations as preliminary? One from SOGo one from TB. You can check there which one causes problems. Any suggestions or help is highly appreciated. You could send the ics file attached to the email to the list so we can check what is generated by TB and/or SOGo.
