Hi Sumith,
I was able to solve it from the replies i got from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
list..the problem went away when i hardcoded the log mail address ..
QUEUE_EXTRA="[EMAIL PROTECTED]\0"
QUEUE_EXTRALEN=13
and for my previous set up the .qmail-log file should be like
/home/xyz/Maildir/
since i was
Hi Lu,
Implement Unix disk quota system with user and/or group quota.
#adduser user1
#/home/vpopmail/bin/vadddomian -u user1 domain1.com password
Great Solution!
Cheers.

Hi Dushyanth
Let Qmail log the mails locally, you can set up fetchmail to pick up these mails and
send it to another SMTP listener...NOT your local Qmail server, to avoid the bounces.
Let me know if there would be better way of doing this.

make sure you are running either the stable version of vpopmail or the latest dev
version as I found that vdelivermail would consume
a 450 Mhz Xeon at 1 concurrent local delivery with vpopmail 4.10.23. There have been
some performance improvments to vdelivermail
since then. Im running 4.10.28
No, backup /var/qmail/control and /var/qmail/users too

I've had the same problem, it has to do with vpopma
I have my mail system set up using MySQL for authentication. Domains are
set up in individual tables. MySQL stores tables as UNIX file names, so it
seems that ~256 characters would be the limit.
Today, I tried to add a virtual domain to the server using the vadduser
program. Afterwards, users c
Im having a problem, my cpu looks pretty busy and i dont have many
concurrent connections, this is the output of "ps aux"
root 1081 0.0 0.2 1372 376 ?SJul10 0:00 svscan
root 1089 0.0 0.2 1336 348 ?SJul10 0:00 supervise
qmail-send
root 1090 0.0
We are in the process of moving one our clients mail from our server to
their own exchange server. What I need to know though is which takes
precedence. The virtualdomains control file or the smtproutes control file.
What I am hoping to do is just add the domain into the smtproutes control
file
Some time ago, I believe this topic was raised.
Any thoughts on this ?
What would be the best way to implement it ?
Thanks,
Lu
Ken,

Use as Login 'user%domain.com' instead of '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' - this should
solve your Problem.

Hi all,
I'm trying to run vpopmail with qmail on a linuxbox.
I followed the steps 1-6 (without step 5) described in
www.inter7.com/vpopmail/INSTALL, so I added the virtual domain "test.it"
(with postmaster's password) and the user "utente" with his password.
I sent a mail to "utente" using Outlook

So what are the processes ru
I'm not sure if this is the right list, but it seems to be!
Since I have enabled (and got working) POP before SMTP the CPU load on the
server the highest I have ever seen it.
At the moment, the load is 7.7 and before enabling this, it never reached
0.5
Any ideas??
Many thanks,
Paul
I've the same problem. During pop login (4.10.28) the lastauth table wasn't
updated.
After user [EMAIL PROTECTED] login:
mysql> select * from lastauth;
+--+---+--+-
+
| user | domain| remote_ip| timestamp
