uummm...isn't squirrelmail php? Did you mean recompile courier-imap minus
all the authentication modules aside from vchkpw?

Recompile squirrelmail and make sure it ONLY uses authvchkpw... get rid
of tha authdaemon and all the other crap... see the previous response in
this thread.

that authdaemon is nothing but trouble... I had the same problem with
sqwebmail.

It creates more problems than it solves for most users, if you ask me.

[vchkpw] vpopmail -d 'user directories'

2003-06-19 Thread Mike Miller
I'm having a bit of trouble with adding vpopmail domains under another
userid and home directory. Normally, I've had each user with their domain
in a standard ~vpopmail/domains/domain-name.com directory. I'd like to
create domains now in ~username/domain-name.com/mail or similar folder.

I add a user to the system with a homedir of /home/blah and then issue
'vadddomain -u blah -d /home/blah/mail domain passwd but that creates a
directory /home/blah/domains/domain-name.com with postmaster in this folder.
 How can I get it to not require this structure, but rather just add them
whereever I want- without the prefixes? I'm using latest development 5.3.20

Thanks in advance,
-Mike

Hi,

Are you running fast_spamassassin in qmail-scanner? It doesn't take by
default.

Rick

instead of the vpopmail server having all that added load on it, new
incoming mail goes to a separate dedicated server running qmailscanner,
and sending messages through spamassassin and clamav. that server
processes the message, then forwards it on to the vpopmail server for
final delivery.

it's running fine, except for one thing: it won't tag the subject line
with [SPAM] like they were tagged on the vpopmail server. it adds the
scoring headers, but not the subject tag. i've verified that the
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf has that set correctly.

any thoughts? anyone run into this before?

Sigh,

TAG, TAG. fast_spamassassin doesn't TAG by default on the subject line.

Long day, typing sucks. Please excuse.

[vchkpw] vchkpw + Courier-IMAP

2003-06-19 Thread Eugene Chua
Hi all!

  I've been trying to configure Courier-IMAP to work with authvchkpw
  of vpopmail on OpenBSD platform but to no success.

  I've installed Courier-IMAP into /usr/local/courier-imap (using
  gmake on *BSD systems)

  My imapd config file:

  ADDRESS=127.0.0.1
  PORT=143
  AUTHMODULES=authvchkpw
  IMAPDSTART=YES

  When i use the startup script,
  /usr/local/courier-imap/libexec/imapd.rc start

  I get this return,

  # /usr/local/courier-imap/libexec/imapd.rc start
  bind: Can't assign requested address
  ll_daemon_start: Resource temporarily unavailable

  Have I done something wrong with the config?

Check if you have other imap daemons running on your server.
Try telnetting to 127.0.0.1 port 143. If you receive a reply
then you have a daemon using port 143.
