 any comment?

not realy sure what your question is, but since it appears to be part of the
thread discussing updating the maildirsize file...

if you are using maildir quotas and qmail-pop3d you need to get the maildir++
patch for qmail-pop3d.

If this does not answer your question, you may want to try actually asking
one ;)

[vchkpw] delete

2006-03-23 Thread Rob Genovesi

Hi All,

The delete option from Qmailadmin does not seem to be working on my
server. It creates a .qmail file with a single line: # delete , however
messages are still delivered to the Maildir.

Any ideas as to what might be going on?

vpopmail 5.4.10
qmailadmin 1.2.9

Thanks,

Rob

Your version of vpopmail is broken.

try to upgrade. vpopmail 5.4.13 + vpopmail-5.4.13-pound-and-err.patch
is the latest stable version that I know of.

Yes, it does this for me also

Simply adding /dev/null to a new line should have the desired result [I
think]

[vchkpw] nasty bug: vpopmail 5.4.10 vdeldomain on alias destroys original domain

Try upgrading to something in the 5.4 series. vdeldomain in 5.4 will
correctly delete just the alias, and won't touch the real domain behind
 it.

Incorrect. Very nasty bug:

I'm using vpopmail 5.4.10 and just did vdeldomain to delete an alias domain.
It deleted the original domain and left the alias domain untouched (but
useless).

Lost everything in that domain, I guess, including all users emails.
Fortunately there weren't many users on that domain, and possibly no mail
since most users are forwarded elsewhere.

Are you sure you were deleting the alias? I deleted an alias domain
last week and it was fine. I just tried on a development server, and
it was fine as well.

I think that Rick had been working on changed to vdeldomain where it
would warn you if you were deleting a domain that still had aliases,
but I'm not sure where that code is...
