You found a bug. the #define LOG_NAME was not being used by vchkpw.c
Instead "vpopmail" was hard coded into the openlog() function.

You might want to maintain a .qmail-"list" file instead, and
put in everyones email address. The will remove the problem
of having moderators, subscribers and unscribers. And no one

Sqwebmail will first look at a sqwebmail-password file in the users
Maildir directory. You won't be able to log in if that file doesn't
ate.
This minimizes the number of times vpopmail counts all the emails.
Perhaps a better name could be used for the .current_size file.
Like, .current_size_of_email_that_has_been_delivered_not_counting_

on of qmailadmin-0.50 is also available for download.
It compiles against vpopmail-4.10.1. No major changes were made
except switching to vqpasswd from the old struct passwd. As the
new alias/forward api's in vpopmail are completed, qmailadmin
will use those calls to maintain forwards and aliases.

If you are running an OS/Distro that handles rpm's. You can install:

I wonder if we can drop this functionality and make

I never liked the need for "vadduser username"

That's it

Looks like you have incompatible vpopmail/qmailadmin versions.
You might want to use the latest stable versions of both.

I will test it out today or Sunday.
By the way, you do not need to run separate tcpservers
on each of your IP's. You can run just one. The hostname
in the tcpserver startup is only used during the qmail-popup
to print as part of the OK line.

If you send me a how-to on setting up ldap with the right
schema etc, i can test it. like.. given the openldap source
and a clean compile/install, what next?

To convert from vpasswd.cdb to mysql.
1) compile vpopmail with mysql support
2) ./vconvert -c -s
3) make install-strip
done

The update server is the main server. Or in mysql replication
terms the update server is the master server and the read server
is the slave server. That is if you have mysql replication turned
on.
If you don't have it turned on, which is the default, then
it only access
Check the vqadmin.acl file. Check for a space at
the end of the user name. If there is a space after
the name it will fail.

If you have the mysql shared object libraries installed
make sure you update the /etc/ld.so.conf file, otherwise
vdelivermail won't be able to find the libraries. That
might be it.

Looks like the vmysql.h file (and no documentation on it)
are making things confusing.
Put your mysql information in the UPDATE server line and
ignore the READ server. The read server is only used with
mysql replication.
