Re: [vchkpw] Forwarding....
I have forwards setup like the following: make a .qmail-USER file in the directory of the domain (replace USER with the username) in the file type [EMAIL PROTECTED] (without the quotes) example of a forward from [EMAIL PROTECTED] to [EMAIL PROTECTED] : [EMAIL PROTECTED] closer]# cat /usr/vpopmail/domains/neg9.netnitco.net/.qmail-root [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] closer]# Hope that helps, Scott - Original Message - From: Bill Sappington [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, March 15, 2003 5:39 PM Subject: [vchkpw] Forwarding Ok, Well I have the system working I even have the catch all working. So what I would like to know is about setting a forwarder for a particular user of a domain. There does not seem to be a reference in the documentation; however, I could be blind and stupid. the .qmail-default file seems to alude to this via the empty set, ie: | /home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' delete syntax in as much as the following works... | /home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED] will forward e-mail for non existant users to the named account, is then | /home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] The correct syntax to forward ??? Thanks in advance.
Re: [vchkpw] -ERR authorization failed
This was the problem, In my /etc/xinetd.d/pop3 file i had server_args = neg9.netnitco.net /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw -- should have been -- /usr/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw Do i forgot to change the location of vchkpw to the actual location i installed it to. Stupid error on my behalf. I just got it installed and was a little out of it i guess. :) Thanks for the help. *note to self* triple check the configs before posting on the mailing list ;) - Original Message - From: Raboo [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 14, 2003 2:08 AM Subject: Re: [vchkpw] -ERR authorization failed I know where the fault is, I had the same problem you have to fix your startup scripts, one space to much or wrong/no domainname can fuck it up totaly Raboo - Original Message - From: Jonas Pasche [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 14, 2003 1:35 AM Subject: Re: [vchkpw] -ERR authorization failed Hi Scott, Just installed qmail and vpopmail and i cant seem to auth correctly. Can't seem? Either you can, or you cannot. Obviously you cannot. Ive looked at logs that i think would help but they have not info as of why this is not working You couldn't have been unclearer... ;-) Which log did you check? What did the log exactly say (copy+paste, don't interpret)? Did you activate verbose logging when compiling vpopmail? If not, do it, at least for now to help you debugging. Jonas

Re: [vchkpw] can not get any mail
okay, i tried that but still no go. What i dont understand is that the smtp server im sending through here at work should at least send me a message if it can not send the message to my box. And my box should send me a message if it has a problem with the e-mail. I dont get anything at all. and i can send e-mail from my box fine. thats no problem. I just am lost here. -Scott - Original Message - From: Rick Macdougall [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Negative Nine [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 11:08 AM Subject: Re: [vchkpw] can not get any mail Hi, What I was saying is that after adding domains to rcpthosts (or morercpthosts) you need to hup qmail-send so that it re-reads those files.
