Re: [vchkpw] realrcppto
There should be no problem, except some flags (I don't remember exactly which) that may be missing in the 5.2 vpopmail headers. I suggest to try, and eventually modify the code where necessary. Write me if you have any problems. Ciao, Tonino At 21/01/2004 21/01/2004 -0500, Rick Macdougall wrote: Martin wrote: http://www.interazioni.it/qmail/#qmail-smtpd Works great here. Regards, Rick Hello Rick. I'd like to hear more about this from other people, ie. who has tried it, opinions etc. I note that on the web page, the patch version is given for vpopmail 5.3.6 & 5.3.25. These are development versions and the last stable is vpopmail v5.2.2. Has anyone tried it on 5.2.2 stable (on a production system) and what version patch did they use ? Hi, Never tried it against 5.2.2 but there should be no reason it wouldn't work since it is a qmail-smtpd patch, not a vpopmail patch. I personally have it running on about 30 or 40 servers running 5.3.20 and I believe 2 servers running 5.4.0-rc2 (or what ever the latest release is). Everything just works. As for version of the patch, I normally use Bill Shupp's qmail-toaster patch and his modified version of the chkusr patch available from www.shupp.org (Thanks Bill!). It doesn't actually attempt delivery at that time. Therefore, vpopmail can't say "hey, that mailbox doesn't exist". If you're running a vpopmail only machine, that patch is useless. -Jeremy -- Jeremy Kitchen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
