Re: Help with external DHCP issue

2010-04-12 Thread Kiran N
hello Josh,
I am facing some what similar issue.I have added a new computer host(virtual
machine).
I checked the dhcp.conf files, the addressing, etc/hosts file.
But on making a reservation, my virtual machine does startup, but its not
getting any IP addresses assigned. Its unable to detect any networks
created,
I have renamed the .vmdk and -flat.vmdk files according to the naming
convention
(Note: we are using ESX provisioning and it is a Windows 2003 image).
Is there anythin specific you wanted me to check??

Thanks,
Kiran

Yep - it's related to the compromised jira passwords issue Kevan forwarded an
email about. Confluence is mentioned in that email, but it doesn't explain
that it is the software running the wiki for most projects (including us).

I've finished all of the previously listed issues.

Now, I'm going to start on

VCL-277: deleting user group that owns a resource group

VCL-250: authentication for XML RPC X-User doesn't properly check to see if no
authtype was found

VCL-241: detailed loading summary does not compute times correctly for future
reservations that are preloaded

VCL-220: VMs in the available state which aren't assigned to a VM host may be
reserved

VCL-244: Staticics page - show number of failed loads per image
