Hi Renzo,

Anonet currently has 'client ports' running on OpenVPN, providing access 
to new users. I think VDE might be a good candidate to add to/replace 
these 'client ports', as it seems much easier to get going on the client 
side (2 lines of shell commands). A VDE network could also serve as a 
public virtual 'internet exchange', where BGP routes are exchanged.

I understand that a DHCP server may be unreliable. However, I think that 
especially for a 'client port', it provides an easy way for users to get 
started. As there seems to be no way to push a route for a subnetwork 
like 1.0.0.0/8, we will need to work around this by either providing a 
default gateway, or using proxy arp on a big /8 network.
