DVB-S Nexus with CI and my official subscription card.
I wanted to upgrade to the lastest version of VDR and compiled it all OK.
But, the problem is that the new version can't switch to encrypted channels.
Is there

HMM this kernel is too old!
I think you need min 2.6.22 or better!
I have tested it with 2.6.24 with gcc 4.2 and had no errors.

Hi Klaus and thanks for getting back to me.
I tried my orginal (ver 1.4.7) channels.conf under the new installation
using this syntax :

As it was not working i've generated a new channels.conf :

Hi!
Simple but hard question...
I have gentoo based system.. And I would like to use vdr-plugin (sc; software
CAM) what is NOT in repository. How I can compile and use it? Or is it
possible.
Change FOOBAR(-version) to appropriate.
echo 'VDRSOURCE_DIR=/usr/src'

Hi all
I did upgrade my vdr from 1.4.7 to 1.6.0 (packages are from ubuntu hardy
repository)and notice that the vdr do not displays subtitles. I am using
xineliboutput as output device. I found out from linuxtv.fi that one
should have channels PID automatically updated, but that didn't help

Sorry for missexplaning.
First case is CAM results detection in 1.7.0 only.
Second case means the CAM is 100% correctly detected under 1.4.7 and

If I call vidcom(av7110, AV_VIDEO_CMD_FREEZE, 1) before play_iframe(),
I get a black screen for the first picture. Only after switching to the next
picture do I see something on the screen.
So apparently it must be called afterwards.
Great

Well, upgraded and compiled.
Does command 'hg pull http://jusst.de/hg/multiproto_plus'
keep directory multiproto_plus current ?
after pulling you have to issue an hg update, but it will tell you
so anyway.

You should upgrade xineliboutput, preferably from cvs.
This did solve the problem. Thank you.
