I tried several vdr versions, but they all share the same problem on my Ubuntu
(currentyl 6.06) box: vdr starts very slowly when the syslog daemon is
running. The vdr bootup takes about 1-2 minutes with syslog running. After
stopping the syslogd vdr starts in about 10 seconds and responds
