There's a special handling for user-defined EPG times. Here's the
section from the Readme:

1.3 Extended 'now' and 'next' and favorites

By setup, one can add up to 4 additional times to extend the green
button, e.g. 'afternoon', 'prime time', 'late night'. Times, that are
already passed, are skipped (you will not get 'afternoon' at evening)
with the exception that a time will be displayed for the next day, if it

is less then 20h in the future.

Are you sure, you get both times if 'use favorites' is disabled? If so,
please give me your setup times and the time when you tested it. Also
the setup of the favorites 'before or after user-def. times' would be
interesting. I just did a quick check and it worked on my setup.

BR,

Christian

Thanks, Christian. I understand why it did not display both times now. It
works as designed. It was the 20 hours in the future that lost me.

[vdr] OT: Pop around the clock concerts all day on 3sat

2007-05-01 Thread Lucian Muresan

Hello folks,

did some of you, which can receive 3sat also forgot, like me, they're
broadcasting lots of good concerts today, all day?
Well, I just remembered during the Chris Rea concert and started to
record, I guess I'll schedule all of the remaining ones. They're listed
in order of broadcasting here:
http://www.3sat.de/3sat.php?http://www.3sat.de/poparoundtheclock_index.html
right now Cyndi Lauper Friends is recording...
Now, is it legal or not, to exchange records which where broadcasted FTA
and everyone COULD record?

Anyone recorded the ones in the morning?
Is this all some matter for VIDEGOR (haven't used it, but I guess I
could set it up after finishing...)?

[vdr] [ANNOUNCE] VDR maintenance patch 1.4.6-1

2007-05-01 Thread Klaus Schmidinger
VDR maintenance patch 1.4.6-1 is now available at

ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/vdr/Developer/vdr-1.4.6-1.diff

This is a 'diff' against version 1.4.6.

Small fixes to the officially released VDR versions will be first
made available as maintenance patches in the Developer directory,
so that they can be reviewed and tested before a new official
release is published.

So please apply the above patch and report whether it works (or
if it causes any new problems).

This version is binary compatible to the previous one, so plugins
don't need to be recompiled.

The changes since version 1.4.6:

- Fixed a busy loop in fast forward if the next video data file is missing
  (thanks to Reinhard Nissl).
- Fixed handling frequencies in NitFilter::Process() (thanks to Anssi Hannula).
- Fixed handling ChannelUp/Down keys if there is currently a replay running
  (thanks to Marco Schlüßler).
- Increased the maximum number of CA system ids to cope with the AlphaCrypt
  CAM's version 3.11 firmware.

Have fun!

When I switch to that channel, I get an immediate picture,

there is audio, it is in sync with the video, though.

I'm using a FF FuSi Rev. 1.3 DVB-S card.

Well, in 1.5.2 I've begun implementing UTF-8 support, so I guess
that's what I'll continue working on...

[vdr] [PATCH] Small change to correctly query the systems charset

2007-05-01 Thread Matthias Schwarzott
Hi there!

This patch just changes charset querying to not only look at environment
variable LANG, but respect all in correct order. So now I can overwrite
charset setting with LC_CTYPE and LC_ALL.

Greetings

[vdr] en50221_tl_poll: CAWrite failed

2007-05-01 Thread Simon Baxter
Thought I'd try a new thread with this problem as I'm getting no where - and
not sure what else to try.

I've just added a Irdeto CAM to my TT-1500 Budget DVB-C card and I'm getting
write errors with VDR and with gnutv:

I'm running the latest hg v4l-dvb.

Can anyone suggest anything? Does this look like faulty hardware??? It
does it in 2 different machines.

Thanks

Simon
