[vdr] xmltv2vdr - where's the data?

2008-05-25 Thread Geoff Horn
I've got xmltv2vdr 1.7 almost working on my Ubuntu Hardy box and it even seems
to be transferring the data. The problem is that it never ends up in the epg.
The file epg.data only ever contains the now/next data that it acquired from
the tv transmissions.

During the xmltv2vdr update I get lines like this:

110 event(s) sent for BBC FOUR

But where did it go? Any hints gratefully accepted

IF they ship to Finland (probably yes; I have bought electronic a few times
from that country) you must remember add custom-tax and Vat (product is
coming outside of EU) what makes total price to be round 1,25 times original
price (1200€x1,25=1500€)

Re: [vdr] reelchannelscan 0.6.1 patch for vdr-1.7.0 + h264

2008-05-25 Thread Vangelis Nonas
Hello,

After patching you have to go to main vdr directory and from there run
make plugins.

If you want to clean up before compile do:
make clean; make clean-plugins;
then
make;make plugins to compile everything.

Thanks
Vagelis

I dont know what the problem is. From your error message I can only
guess that you haven't applied my patch at all. If this is the case try
applying my patch (without reel's patch from

 That's just it, I have my kernel's header file, I have libpostproc-dev, I
 know exactly where postprocess.h is!
 (/usr/include/postproc/postprocess.h) I even made a symlink in
 /usr/include/libpostproc/ ...

Thing is, this compile worked, untill after I compiled ffmpeg from source.
Once I did that xine-lib never wanted to compile again.

The config.log from that failed build and the list of directories which
contain ffmpeg's header files are of interest. I suspect that something in
some people's ffmpeg builds is confusing the ffmpeg header file layout
detection script.

Re: [vdr] VDR-xine + ffmpeg? (h.264 problems)

Hi,

Jelle De Loecker schrieb:

I had to remove *-V xvideo --post vdr_video --post vdr_audio --post

 nanosecond and then drop out.)

Hhm, I don't think that xine --help lists 'xvideo' near -V. I'm
not sure which driver xine uses if it cannot find the specified
one -- most likely xv. But removing the -V option would choose xv
too, so why is there a difference?

Regarding video: Morfsta sent me some samples of BBC HD which are
interlaced but have incorrectly set the progressive_frame_flag.
Forcing deinterlacing of such scenes with
use_progressive_frame_flag=0 improves image quality but the
default field order is incorrect which leads to a jumpy replay
like that (assuming the correct order would be 1 2 3 4 5 6):

2 1 4 3 6 5

Bye.
