In Debian, first blacklist the DVB modules in the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
file:
# DVB Modules
blacklist dvb-ttpci
blacklist bttv
blacklist bt878
blacklist dvb-usb-gp8psk
# end DVB Modules
