Why?
because channels definitions slightly differs, and that's probably
because of bug in some drivers or hardware. For example sometimes
frequency differs by one.

Well, for starters you could set "Setup/DVB/Update channels" to "add new
transponders"
in VDR's Setup menu. That should update your channels.conf as far as
possible.
Usually I use this option (as i remember it's "3" in setup.conf), but
does it fix problem I had with "scrambled" flag?
And it's not enough. What I read, only some transponders should be
enough to make full scan because during scan more frequencies are
broadcasted. It doesn't work for me. If i strictly don't define some
transponders, they won't be recognized and scanned.

When i scan without diseqc defined, all outputed channel definitions
have 0.0E - is it possible to tell scan which sattelite I use?
Maybe I should switch on diseqc option, but in diseqc.conf set only one
position?

Hi, i have the same problem... without solutions until now .

I noticed that VDR can't tune all the channles with vertical polaritazions (i'm
sure about that, and see your third channel is just like that)
I get this error in syslog:

frontend 0/0 timed out while tuning to channel

The Horizontal ones works good.

I'm at work now, and i can't get more details, but all those channels work with
szap and mythtv...

My system is an ubuntu server with HVR-4000 and kernel-3.2, one dish with
HotBird S13.0E.
VDR with no screen on server, and a frontend with xineliboutput (vdr-sxfe).
The channel conf is generated with w_scan.

My old installation ( with kernel-2.32., still present in a dual boot server)
works fine with the same vdr configuration (same folder with lib and bin
override).

it's from the start of VDR, if you don't now this command, it's probably from

Searching for plugins (VDR 1.7.27/1.7.27) (cache miss): streamdev-server

Seems it's from dvbapi which I use with local oscam to use card with VDR.

Hi,

and your VDR and streamdev versions are?

VDR: 1.7.27-2
streamdev: 0.5.1+git20111211+git20120325-2

I don't think it's a driver thing if you can tune with szap.
Maybe your DiSEqC setup needs to be adjusted.

I did but no I don't use Diseqc, so in setup.conf it's: DiSEqC = 0
So is it important that in diseqc.conf I still have Astra and Hotbird defined?

No. If you don't use DiSEqC, you don't need to care about diseqc.conf.

Strange is I have only 3 channels on the list:
:sat TV
TVP 1;CYFRA
+:10892:h:S13.0E:27500:166=2:104=pol@4:503:100,1813,500,B00,B01,1803,1861:4807:318:11900:0

S.A.:11158:v:S13.0E:27500:257=2:258=pol@4:264:0:13101:113:13200:0

What's strange too - VDR reads EPG from all channels so probably it can tune
but something is wrong with my setup and the last one can't be played.

The EPG data is received as soon as the transponder has been tuned to.
A particular channel needs more information, in this case the CA-IDs.
