No. But, I just found out that another admin was not patient with a netbackup stop and so used kill -9 on the bpsched processes. The processes were then like a zombie and would not respond to any attempts to suspend/cancel/slap in the face. Think maybe I could just go into a directory and wack

Whack the Admin! But if this happens again check 2 things. 1) Device Monitor, see if any tapes are awaiting to be loaded 2) Check the client, stop Netbackup and kill any backup processes 3) Whack the Admin again to make you feel better 4) Look for another way to whack the Admin :-) Simon
