netbackup when the database is online.

when i started to restore or discover BMR client in the master server ,i was
asked for the mac address ,so what if the machine get burned and i have new one
and also i have the backup can i restore that backup or not because of the part
of the mac address

Not really. We have netbackup configured to retry a backup if it
fails so there may be multiple attempts under the same jobid. I
don't want to get an alert if Netbackup is already running the backup

needs. And the Sun sales offered me another SL500 unit as well. But, we are
thinking to spend much less. I guess, I would have to look at all options
and see which one would work best for us.

completes, we want SQL log Netbackup policy to be disabled.? How do i do

Yes I am unix, but unfortunately I am not the person setting up the
MAC's.

My master is aix and I open up the java console and I go and push my
updates to my unix clients.( I was able to push to all my aix servers
