Hi Sanjay,   What we have heard is that DMP will fail to re-enable a failed path whereas PowerPath does.  So when connecting to Clariions this becomes an issue because Clarrions offer active/passive SAN connection.  This however is not an issue with Symmetrixes.  I have also heard from after

Here is the bottom line to PowerPath vs. DMP...we just gone through the same internal debate when DMXs rolled in. When to use PowerPath: 1) You do not want finger pointing between vendors when trying to resolve issues between App-->OS-->HBA Drivers-->HBA-->Storage path! 2) Meet the minimum system
