I'm afraid I mixed things up. I used to add bezier lines to ternary
phase diagrams externally (in inkskape). That's where I also added the
"proper" (horizontal), corner-based labels.

The center-based way shapes, especially rectangles, are to
be drawn in Veusz keep confusing me. I use it frequently to mark
ranges of interest but would be much more comfortable with a start-end
input.
