Hey, Chuck: That's a mayfly. I'm not sure what kind. How big was it? It
seems a bit large for a Sulfur. Maybe it's what my Canadian friends call an
Orange Cahill. I'm sure somebody on the list will know what it is.

All things considered, I'd rather be in Philadelphia.
Jerry: I see. Thanks. From the end of the tiny tails to his nose was between
3-3 1/2 I guess. Probably closer to 3. Chuck

Now if I can only re-watch Tony's video on that knit pickin mayfly, I'd be able
do make some flies similar to this one and drive the local bluegill and bass
crazy, Chuck

Then it might be that orange cahill The one I came across was about that
size but had more orange in the tail, most likely because of eggs.

*It's a Hexagenia, I think. They are a pretty rare species of Mayfly,
quite large. Nymphs hatch out in the dark. Also called a Yellow Drake.*

I had replied to Chuck off-list about his mayfly.
With its size, it's most very closely related to the Hexagenia Limbata
or Michigan Hex.
In this case, it would obviously be an Alabama Hex.
