Tony:
I have had these Thompsons since 1985 and they still cut great.
They both have the red handles.
One pair have the large finger loops that I have bent so that they sit on the
tying table and you can pick them up easily.
The other pair is like what a barber would use.
Thank you,
Alan Di
Those were made by Anvil.
My old pair are serrated and I can't find anyone to sharpen them. I still use
them for cutting thread when wrapping rods, not really good for deer hair
anymore.

Rumors to the contrary, no direct relationship exists between angling success

I don't feel bad anymore when I look into my toolbox with all these
scissors.

bench, use all of them for the pattern. Not for each fly but for the 1st
fly I used the curved small one, for the second fly
Rene,
You have the right to have and use as many tools as you want. The tyer with the

how many tools I have accumulated over the years that I don't use. I have not
picked up a whip finisher in over 25 years, I have
I have and love my Dr. Slick, also an Ice scissors, but, my very favorite is
a cheap (I think I paid $2.98) Griffiths tying scissor which has one blade
serrated and which I put in the brake in car class and put a bend in it just
1/2 inch above the scissors handle, this modified shape perfectly
You've heard of a humpy and a double humpy,
Well, Buggs wanted a triple humpy,
and then Dr. D wanted a quadra-humpy.
And then Veronica piped up and said to tie the 'quintessential humpy'.
