Hi Chuck,

99% of people don't even read the terms and conditions before clicking OK.
Think I may have been one of the few who actually realised all my pictures
would be uploaded. Picassa now seems to be a part of Google plus which I have
disabled on my phone (no auto upload) and won't allow it on my laptop.
Basically just use the email.

2014-03-24 Thread Scott Bearden
Chuck there is a simple setting to use it to back up all of your photos
without making them public. In fact it is private by default. Hell my whole
Samsung Galaxy S4 is backed up with Google+. You just don't make it
available to anyone. Facebook offers the same for pictures and so does
several other photo apps. And they all have that setting that backs your
files up to the cloud without sharing it publicly. Trust me its a good
thing when your phone or hard drive takes a dive one day. Everything is
going to the cloud and I mean everything. There won't even be a physical
media beyond BluRay. Once BluRay sales start slumping the motion picture
studios and music recording studios will stop selling physical media
because it is cost prohibitive at that point. Even newspapers and magazines
are bracing for the day when they go all digital. It is the consumer's
responsibility to make sure they are not giving up their privacy. I know it
is frustrating to learn that your photos that you thought were private were
out there in the open, but I am sure you had the opportunity to make them
private but didn't read through things carefully. I am just glad you didn't
have any naked selfies to report. LMAO
