Frankly speaking, I upgraded to the latest iPhone for the camera! The
auto-focus and auto white balance of the iPhone 3GS camera are great,
and you can massage the focus by touching on specific subjects on
screen. As you've noted, I too love the decent macro
so does this thing capture to h.264 (i assume)?

I'd say go for it if you have completely read the contest rules and guidelines.
That if you win $2,000 you can expect to pay taxes on it and receive a IRS 1099
statement.
That is standard on almost all contests people enter and win. So that is not a
big deal.

For a while now there have been some impressive open source firmware
alternatives for a whole range of Canon cameras. These enable all sorts of
cool features, many Canon just hadn't thought of.
However, being as
