Holy crap. You have no idea how important this is to **me** in particular. First of all, thank you for posting this. Sonic is the company that just in the past year or two bought Roxio, which everyone in this forum knows is what I swear by for my movie creation. This is some pretty wild news.

Oh dear, what is the point in MPEG-LA, who call themselves world leader in one-stop technology platform patent licensing if it turns out that a holder of an essential patent isnt a member? The devil is in the detail which I dont have. If ATTs patent does not cover essential technology used in all

:) our free license is with our lawyers now (I know, I know... check is in the mail). The main point is to make sure everyone knows they don't have to pay us as well as to pass on all the indemnifications we can legally. It is supposed to be ready before we roll out the first non-beta browser

Thats really really good news, I am hugely impressed with the way that DivX has gone from having a large number of reasons why it wasnt too suitable for videoblogging,to nearly none, in the space of what, 6 months? I havent had time to watch the DivX videoblogs that you guys have done lately, but
