You will pay less if you buy an internal hard drive and a external
firewire drive case. Just pop open the case and install the HD into it.
Your basic 7200 RPM drive will do the job.

I would recommend doing this to save some money and get as much space
as possible.

deals on internal and external drives (as well as enclosures if you
go with an bare drive)

USB 2.0 is useless, there's not enough voltage. Firewire 400 is my
mainstay. I personally use the Macally PHR-100AF Firewire 400
enclosure. I don't think Maxtor is the best brand out there, I use a
couple of Maxtors and Western Digital hard drives. The word on the
