I'll second Bekah's thoughts on the Xacti line. I've got the C40 and
love it to death. It's standard definition video but for now I'm just
fine with that since a 2GB SD card stores a bit over 2 hours of video.
And the price on the C40 was great, $199 on the mark and available at
Radio Shack.
Thanks Joel, and you´re right - maybe next time.
On a side note, I never saw any of your footage from Milan, and I suspect you
had very

Hi Gena, thanks for that great reply.
First let me say that if the moderator or participants in the group feel
this discussion is going off topic, just let me know and I will take it off

I think all of your tips are right on and useful. Although I plan to avoid

Another option that might work, if you cant find the techies to make
your own site, is to go with a 'white label' solution, where other
companies provide the functionality system, but branded to your
requirements. You dont have to worry about the technical aspect at all
then.

Hey Steve,
We're going to be updating the Show Player soon to display Creative

a redesign of the show pages. The problem with displaying Creative

The blog tab's been around for a long time... I'm happy that you're

Woohoo, the news about creative commons info being available within
the player is marvelous, cheers.
Yes I see your point about cc info on show pages, I guess it just
seemed weird that there was so much other info available on that page,
cc seemed conspicuous by its absence, but yeah now youve
Steve, great point on the grid view. We do have to get better about
that.
We're doing a really big redesign, and it'll be in phases. Next up in
our plan are the show pages and some more tweaks to the homepage and
explore page based on the data we've been able to collect on how people
use them.
What's really infuriating is they still make no provision for
changing user names and passwords in the Edit mode of the
Distribution section where your Blogs are listed. Google changed
everyone's login names from what they were with BlogSpot to a gmail
address last year and ever since

I hope you will increase the size of the text. It is less than 1/16
tall on my display, which is very hard to read without a magnifying glass.
Also, could you eliminate the play arrow in the middle of the player

Hey Taylor,
You're right that we could do a better job of this. It's on our list, I
promise! The problem is that we've been concentrating on things that
have a bigger effect on people and help drive viewership and ad
dollars... so things like this sometimes sit around for a little while
as we
Hi, as some of you have probably heard, I'm running for mayor of San

debate series in front of City Hall every Friday at 5:00PM. I'd like
to stream these debates on the internet, but while there is municipal

new to me, and as they all involve video, and are larger than the
typical use of flash videobloggers are into, I thought Id write a

With 101 vlogs on YouTube and always interested in feedback, I get

I agree with everything Bill Cammack says about Blip being much more
than just another site to drop off videos or to search for random
videos.
I particularly like their new learning center and have been
exploring parts of it. It looks much better organized than learning
