Okay, chiming in...I've only written for O'Reilly. I don't work for them(!). However, from everyone I've met who's even remotely affiliated with the company, I can say they're a great group.Yes, they've recognized vlogging (semi-obvious since they started the process of publishing a book on it).

The word from Chuck, the editor, is that their marketing department
determined that this book and 2 others were too risky financially.
what does this mean?
