For what it's worth, my first post took 10 hours to show up. I used pingomatic.com in the middle of the day yesterday--that may or may not have helped. My second post showed up within 2 hours. I used pingomatic on that one as well. I noticed, by the way, that Technorati lists more than 800,000 blogs that are more popular than my own. Given that, I can hardly blame them for optimizing their crawls, and dealing with my blog on the slow track. I've been experiencing problems with Technorati also. I normally don't tag, so this is all new to me. I have the HTML code for the tag in each post, I created a videobloggingweek2006 category in Movable Type (since Technorati snags the categories to use for tags) and I've automatically and manually pinged the site a number of times. My first post (text) and third post (video #2) are listed, my second post (video #1) is not. Technorati says my site was last updated 28 days ago, so ... who knows what's going on. I'm going to keep it up, but I'm only going to worry about tagging my videos on Mefeedia and del.icio.us.
