Voting is just casting one's opinion...well, if anyone really wants to,
toss their opinions at some feeds on Mefeedia, we'd love to have the
reviews and I am sure the feed owners would love the feedback.

Sorry, shameless promotion and all that...but really, it's slightly on-topic.

So we should all just create our own videoblogging awards, and do so in
our individual videoblogs, and then everyone can check out each other's
videoblog posts for the awards and see if they won any. Of course you'll
have to tag it all 'videoblogdecentralizedawards2005' or something...

yeah, i just posted the link to those videoblog awards becasue i think
they're funny.
i mean what do you win anyway?
the great thing about the web is like Schlomo said: anyone can make a
webpage, throw up a voting feature, and call it 'awards'.

as our community grows, we'll continue to butt heads over this stuff.
the strong egos will collide...
lets just remember that we all have one thing in common:
a desire to build this system that lets each of us have our own voice
in video/audio/text.
becasue we are building archives...time will tell the ones who have
staying power and the strong, true, crazy, funny visions.

It looks like it was created by a couple of randoms, has no backing by
respected outlets and there don't seem to be any prizes for the winners.

Funny the things people do to feel important.

Here are the current results for anyone who gives a shit:

Crooks and Liars (1701)
The Political Teen (339)
MobuzzTV (159)
Bareknucklepolitics (65)
Rocketboom (63)
MEMRI (61)
Steve Garfield (17)
Minnesota Stories (16)
We Are The Meida (11)
Bloggingheads.tv (6)
David Meade (6)
29fragiledays (5)
The 05 Project (5)
Blogumentary (4)
Zudfunck (3)

It more like "Choose The Best One From This List" without any context on how
they got
there.

Though putting people like Duncan (29fragiledays) and Zudfunck, two folks I
love and I
don't think are "popular" (but maybe they are), makes my voter button happy.
