Hi CW,
I have a patron looking for this screenplay, and for the life of me, I am
unable to locate a copy for purchase. There is a less than perfect attempt at
uploading on Drews Script o Rama, and I see a few libraries happen to have a
‘version’ of the script, but nothing I can get my hands on
How about the opening sequence in *The Phantom Tollbooth*? Milo takes a
streetcar home to his SF flat before the film goes animated. Also opening of
*The Doris Day Show.* Maybe *The Conversation* has sequences showing streetcars
passing Union Square (not sure)? *Star Trek IV: the Voyage Home* bu
There are a couple films set in San Francisco with the main characters
riding a ways and getting on and off, and streetcar turning around .
Cann't quite place the characters or film.

Isn't there a famous cameo of Hitchcock getting off a bus in a movie? Found it
on Youtube, North by Northwest.

I also think there are streetcars/trams in The Shop around the Corner (setting:
Budapest) and To Be Or Not To Be - with Jack Benny -- (setting: Warsaw). I
think I'll watch them again this weekend and check.

Thanks to John and Dennis for their responses.
I wonder if this is a case where a pres. copy of a VHS would actually
produce a better version.
Or even from that crisp laserdisc that I remember as my first exposure
to the film.

I have been looking everywhere for a high-quality transfer of the film, but
have had little success.
From what I understand, there was a somewhat nicer transfer going around about
two or three years ago, but it has since gone out of production.
Thanks!
