Happy Friday everyone.
We're beginning to think about strategic planning at our institution and space
is big on the agenda. I've had a couple faculty express a longing for the
library to have an actual theatre which is an intriguing idea to me so I wanted
to take a very informal poll - How
When planning our new library we wanted a theatre, but lost it amid all the
other clamoring for space. We would have loved one for author events, film
events, and a 1000 other programming events. The campus would have ended up
having a great new venue also, but alas.

The library at Wake Forest has a 118 seat auditorium that people use for
meetings, conferences, lectures, class presentations, musical performances,

lighting control, but the house lights do dim all the way down, seats are
bolted swivel chairs with retractable writing boards. So it's used for classes,
guest lectures, presentations, meetings, heartfelt political
We have two video theatres at UConn's Homer Babbidge Library. A small one that

Happy Friday!

Hi
We have two media classrooms, not really theaters. One seats 24 with
tables and rolling chairs, the other seats 50 with regular student desks.
They are used by faculty for showing videos (VHS and DVD) along with
presentations by our Friends of the Library group. There is a computer
