Hi all
I periodically get queries from faculty and others re
requirements/legalities/fair use allowances when using still shots from
movies in journal and book publication. I'm always at a bit of a loss.

I've recently been asked about how many people subscribe to videonews and

videolib. I'm surprised myself: lists are a lot larger than the last
time I poked around to look.

Here's an interesting article about how difficult it was for the Walker Art

That's a point well taken. To make it more feasible I would think that we need
to also encourage producers to list their materials with the book jobbers like

Hello, all.
I've had many requests for Nigerian films lately, and I'm wondering if
any of you have recommendations for sources. A customer directed me to
this website: www.africanmoviesmall.com, but I am not sure how
legitimate it is ($3.00 per DVD?). Any leads you can give me would be
great.
How will be differentiate this from the weird crap we already get?

Kino Lorber,
I assume you have a significant Nigerian community because there would be
little reason otherwise. These films are pretty bad. That company is illegal
but then it is really hard to say much is legal there. I know of no legit
distribution in the US.
