This does not directly address the copyright question, but I think the Eyes on
the Prize DVD series actually combines both parts one and two – at least our
set does. It is listed as 14 hours and I believe the first series was 6 and the
second series was 8, so it should include both.

I guess that's because eotp I is 1986 and eotp II is 1990.
That's how our 7 disc set is listed on toc.
