Ugh. I'd check the valve grooves on the other head now. I'd talk to the engine rebuilder with evidence in hand and see what resolution you might come to. Was the tranny fail a sudden stoppage event? That stress could be another explanation. I'd concur with listees on having heads quoted/done by
