Yeah, voicemail transcription could probably be a lot better than it's
presented in iOS. All those underscores are annoying. I think they represent
the pauses in speech or parts it didn't pick up, but let's hope this gets
better over time.

Keith,
When we got our iPhone 8 we took the SIM cards out of our old phones and put
them in the 8 before we even powered it on. Our old phones were of course on
WiFi so everything worked just fine.
I would unbox the new phone, turn off your 7, remove the SIM and put it in the
new phone, then
Instead of flicking, you can just slide your finger down the screen past
the transcript message or just learn approximately on the screen where
it's located and then just touch the screen below that point.

First, go into the rotor settings and make sure that text selection is selected.
If you want to first select a letter, a word, a line, a page, or all, turn the
rotor to words or lines, and flick up with one finger to go back knowing that
the cursor will be at the beginning of whatever you hear.
There are gloves you can use with modern touch screens. The finger tips
allow for electric conduction through the material. I don't have a pair
myself, but others living farther north have talked about them on list.
I'm sure you can search for them on the web.

I know this sounds silly for having an iPhone for almost five years now, but
I seem to have forgotten a lot about editing text with it.
I was working with an old item in Notes that I wanted to update, and had a
lot of trouble, having only occasional and accidental success.
I can't seem
Thanks, I’ll check this one out.

Hi Shermeen,
My work uses exchange as well. However I have stuck with the native iOS mail
app. I have figured out how to make folders in iCloud, and move my messages
from exchange to iCloud. This way the messages are kept on my personal iCloud,
and for me that feels better. Let me know if you
Hi Juan,
Having face id and finger print reader options, well, that's now cool! LOL!
That's what I call choice! Just out of curiosity, how did your wife set up the
finger print reader option? I would like that myself.

Hi Keith,
Open Settings in Voice Dream Reader, and go to Cloud Sync. Make sure "Sync
library using iCloud" is on. If it is, your books will be backed up to iCloud
and restored if you restore your iPhone.
Best,
Anna

Juan, I play piano in ours and tuck mine up under my arms a lot. The keys are
cold too, and I have tried playing with gloves on, can do it, but not easy. I
can't use my iPhone with gloves though, or haven't tried, don't think that
could work.
Best regards,
Carolyn

Can you call Customer Support of your carrier. Consumer Cellular would work
with you and steer you right through the entire set up. If there is something
about Voice Over they don't know, or at least one guy, he'll look on Apple's
site and make that work out.
He's the one that suggested I
The phone will tell you when to hold the old phone close and make sure you hold
it just above the new one with the back facing camera toward the new one.
Personally I think it better to wait to exchange the simm.

Hi,
My new iPhone X arrives tomorrow.
What's the easiest way to set it up from my iPhone 7. I'm confused about this
approach of hlding a new phone close to an existing phone. At what stage do I
transfer the sim to the new phone - before or after I do the close holding
thing?

I just flick past the thing. It's not going away, like the bees around the

Janet,
It is on all iPhones running iOS 12, if not 11; I don't recall when it was
introduced.
The only work around is to flick beyond it. It is annoying, pretty much
worthless, and just a bad idea from Apple. If everyone writes Apple and
complains, maybe it will go away or at least give an
Hi Carolyn,
Ok, so you have it on your phone too. Can you please tell me how you work
around the thing, as it drives me crazy. I haven't found any way to work
around this thing though!

Hello,
There is the iClever tribute-fold one on amazon. It costs around $30 and works
well with iOS.
