Hi Anna and Malcolm,
I had the same question. I want to use my apple watch to track my
sleep but I don't want the watch talking throughout the night if I
move.
With these settings turned off, do I have to tap the watch to get it to talk?

One option is to not use dictation at all, and if you know braille, to
get a hable one bluetooth keyboard. Another bluetooth qwerty keyboard
would work as well.

Hello, I had this happened to me once before, too. And so what I did, is, I
selected the voice I wanted, once the voice was selected, I shut down the
phone, and then I brought it back up. And all was well.

Hi, I am having trouble downloading the Australian and US premium voices to my
new iPhone SE. I have reset my network settings and done a hard reset on the
phone as well as various other things. I have an Apple accessibility support
person helping me, has anyone had this problem? Any thoughts
I have found that most of the time, Siri dictation is really pretty accurate, more on the phone than on the watch. I’m using an older phone, a 10 r. My problem with Siri isn’t trying to get it to do simple things like open apps etc. It simply doesn’t hear what I say and comes back with really
Hi all, I just purchased an iPhone SE 2022. No matter what I try I cannot get

Siri dictation has always been doing this although it does seem to be somewhat
more accurate in iOS 17.
One thing Siri never seems to get right is the difference between "Flour" and
"flower", I can dicate "Pleas also bring me 2 Kg of spelt flour" and it will
always put "Please bring me 2 Kg of

When i use dictation, sometimes the wrong word is entered, but certainly not the majority of the time. I try to 1: be in a quiet environment, 2: speak a little more slowly than I would ordinarily speak, 3: speak clearly, 4: Go over several times what I want to say in my head before dictating.HTH,
What I have done is when I am sending a text or an email is hold down the button and wait a few seconds after the ding sound. I am finding that if I talk to Seri too quickly, she has a comprehension problem. Sent from my iPhone Liz Ulrich and leader Dog hope
Hello all,
Whenever I'm dictating a text-message, e-mail, or whenever you use siri for
dictation. it puts whatever words it thinks should be in their. I also don't
have autocorrect turned on either. This is getting very irritating.
TIA in advance for your help.

Yes, you'll need to use VoiceOver's braille commands.
Richard Turner has a nice list on his web site in a few different formats.

You can also find a list of braille keyboard commands for your braille display
by going into Settings -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver ->
